some people alrdy given sugguestions. You can run ppl through Missions, or if you have 600hp Monk do solo/runs in CoF(Cap you around 10-15k+ hour), If you have exp in 600hp do SoO Runs 10k-15k per person so 80k+ in 3 hrs(This is if you alot alot of Exp in 600hp, Been Warned). Ya Smites are good sometimes if you want cap good Ecto drops 600hp/Smite Duo in Etneral Wastland average 2-8e+ per run. This I aint kidding iv seen and heard my friends gotten 8e in 1 run from doing Etneral Wasteland. Proof my friend gotten 14e in 1 run by duoing it. That good money.

C'mon, it's Exico...his friends always do cool stuff way beyond the rest of us. No proof required.
I'm assuming he's talking about more than just a smite run....i think...not quite sure where the Etneral Wasteland is located
If it's just a smite run i'm calling a big fat BS.

I'm pretty sure by Eternal Wasteland he means the Chaos Planes. And it's not uncommon for mindblades to drop ridiculous amounts of ectos.

Since you can't kill broodmother on HM, the raptor farm is pretty crappy for warriors.
With my warrior i makely make $$$ by doing dungeons, UW, hulking stones.
You can also do runs from Ascalon to LA, and other places too.
W/Rit is a great farm for UW, because it's very safe. So you can take your chances there and get some ecto drops.

back to the ecto + smite nerf, yes, there is no evidence but we know its been nerfed because it used to drop 1.5-2 times as much, and could drop in sets of 1-3. i dont know what u guys are talking about though, maybe ur just unlucky because i get anywhere from 1-3 ecto a smite run and cant remember the last time i didn't get 1 ecto at least. so id see how the warrior/rit UW build fares for you, its easy to learn and quite protfitable. otherwise you could try farming luxon sins with vwk / splinter weapon/ glad defense. havent tried farming them with a warrior but it should work

Smokin elementalist - so you are lucky. I get my first ecto after 9 full smite runs... And because I have have my notebook at the service, this 9 runs i make in last cca 6 weeks, but get only one... Don't know why, but before the "favor of Gods" raise to the monstrous numbers i get 1.5ect by run

Doing a full UW run as ele (ice wastes, chaos planes, spawning pools) have given me several ectos (7-12) PER RUN.
Just search up Donut's guide.

In my last 5 runs, I got 3 ectos..
You need to be really lucky to get at least 1 per run.

Thanks Kottis. Does it really take 2 hours to do the run?
The return over time seems roughly the same as a smite run. I haven't done a lot of smite runs myself but it was easy to get it under 15 mins. Assuming you get an average of 1 - 1.5 ecto / run, that's 8-12 ectos as a UW n00b. If you know what you're doing a smite run can be as low as 8-9 mins. Let's assume 10 mins, thats 12 runs in the same time for 12-18 ectos.
I guess the difference is you don't have to pay the entry fee more than once, more merch food etc, but if ectos are your objective and you're not impoverished, that's not really a problem.

I have never seen evidence of an update which says "lowered the drop rate of Ectoplasm off Smite Crawlers". I'll happily lift my hat to anyone who can link me to this on the wiki, because honestly, after getting 6 ectos in 2 consecutive runs, I can say that this is rubbish.
I would quote the guy who linked someone to the wiki article on variance, but I'm too lazy.
Other than that, FoW or get Ursaning DoA. DoA clears take around 2 hours, and you can make anything up to 30 or 40k in them if you succeed (my first run netted me 5 gem sets (including killing Mallyx) which is 5 x 12k to sell. Do the Maths :})(Yes it was HM).
Real money is in gems, ectos and shards. Outside the FoW/UW, you'll be hard pressed to make more than 6-8k an hour. Which I guess is still fairly good...

but they did.

Reason 1: It gets really boring doing smites over and over again.
Reason 2: I never get ectos from smites anylonger :P
Reason 3: If you start with killing the smites, you can decide weither to go on or restart.
And one run takes about 90 minutes when you are new to it, and about 60 minutes once you know how its done. (full run)

2 hours sounded a bit steep, 1 hour would be a decent return on investment.

Don't make baseless claims.
I usually get 4-10 ectos per hour doing smite runs as well as merch food, random grapes, and golds. So yea, I usually net more than 10k/hour with smite runs. Too bad smite runs are B-O-R-I-N-G. I do about 1 hour of smite runs before I do something else out of boredom.
